Are you ready to add Team Delegation to your CV skillset?
This is a 2-hour live and interactive online class for startup founders, cxos and team leaders who want to be unburdened, and team members with the ambition of becoming team leader.
If you are impacted by the speed at which the market is continuously changing, you know that today, getting to where you want to be cannot mean using the leadership style that got you here. With knowledge workers and younger generations entering the workplace, what brought you here won’t get you where you need to be next. You need a highly collaborative workplace that empowers both bosses and team members, while adapting and responding to external changes in real time.
Competing in a world gone lateral requires performing at a high level of other-empowerment with team members. Distributing power into all corners of your team and organization is also the path to becoming unburdened and achieving resilience today!
When power is centralized, responding to volatility and uncertainty is compromised, businesses can be taken down easily. Today, you want to be like “the internet”, a complex system that can’t be destroyed because control is distributed.
It might sound counterintuitive, but by distributing power, you will actually have more control over the situation your business is in.
You can continue to be the traditional orchestra conductor of your business, or you can learn from modern musician artists. Unlike traditional classical music, modern music draws from a broad spectrum of possibilities when it comes to empowering both the leader and the ensemble members, with clear arrangements around delegation and autonomy.
Such collaborative model brings joy into the work. Handy considering engagement is at an all time low and the cost of turnover through the roof.
Oh, and things get done! Performances always meet deadlines! When the curtain goes up, deadline missed, said no.one.ever
And I should know!
Some say artists are a hundred years ahead of their time.
Did you know that modern artists have been using an efficient system of delegation since way before the world become the way it is today?
For 17 years I initiated and collaborated in cutting-edge productions in the Netherlands, as a pianist and producer in a highly networked ecosystem. We had setbacks all the time: a festival partner wouldn’t raise enough funding, or a venue abroad would change directors, and direction! Yet we always pulled our projects off. Each one of us had skills to create markets, design strategies, and develop new tech, to name a few. And we organized leadership and delegation with flexible grids that empowered everyone involved. It made us future-proof. A modern ensemble is hard to take down.
As professional rebels, we used gamified flexible grids that made our work seriously fun. During this class I will model and teach you the skills, tools and attitude of Dutch modern artists so you as a team can successfully bring joy back into the work.
I am also a Senior Advisor for Innovative Organizations by the Antwerp Management School, an Organization and Relationship Systems Coach, a certified assessor and coach in Power Intelligence, and a Master of Music by the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
